Oh the depth!

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor? Or who has given him a gift to him that he might be repaid?

—Romans 11:33-35

Thankful for being reminded of who my Creator, how big He is, and how He works in the most unexpected and sometimes difficult ways. Despite these past few spiritually exhausting weeks, I pray that the Holy Spirit will really, seriously, crazily, mightily move and instill faith and trust in God that I can’t muster up on my own.

Still Believe

I believe

  • You’re the same yesterday, today, and forever
  • Your blood is sufficient for me
  • You are who You say You are
  • You are the One who sees me
  • You are the One who is for me
  • You are the One who has joy

Revelation Song

Filled with wonder,
Awestruck wonder
At the mention of Your Name
Jesus, Your name is power
Breath, and Living Water
Such a marvelous mystery

Paint us an angel, if you can, with a floating violet robe and a face paled by the celestial light…but do not impose on us any aesthetic rules which shall banish from the reign of art those old women with work-worn hands scraping carrots…those homes with their tin pans, their brown pitchers, their rough curs, and their clusters of onions.

Therefore, let art always remind us of them; therefore, let us always have men ready to give the loving pains of life to the faithful representing of commonplace things, men who see beauty in the commonplace things, and delight in showing how kindly the light of heaven falls on them.

Psalm 16

Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.

I say to the LORD,

“You are my LORD; I have no good apart from you.”

Psalm 16

The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot

The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed I have a beautiful inheritance.

I bless the LORD who gives me counsel;  in the night also my heart instructs me. I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.

Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure. For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption.

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
